About Shuran
Shuran Yang is a student at Shanghai Foreign Language School in Shanghai, graduating in 2027. His focus is computer science, and he works with Python, C++, and R.
Shuran's software projects span different settings. He co-develops Music for Alzheimer with clinical collaborators, and worked on a patient-guidance bowel-prep mini-program during a hospital IT internship. Also, he independently designed a rhythm game that allows players to compose and play their own music.
Music is an ongoing practice for him. He plays the accordion, produces electronic music, and founded his school's Music Technology Club to bring students together through composition and production.
He speaks Mandarin, English, and German, and founded the school's German Language Club. Outside his projects, he volunteers in hospitals and with Special Olympics East Asia.

Learning with others
Shuran's work extends into team research and student-led activities, from studying data at Wharton to founding a German club and organizing a visit to Taicang.

Early experiments
Before the current software projects came time at a computer, early experiments, and opportunities to share ideas with others. Making and presenting have continued alongside each other.
